English learners are the best advocates for English learning resources. I can tell you again and again why 300 Practical English Words and Phrases is a must-have resource, but the feedback of people who are actually using the book is much more valuable.
Here are some of the things students have been saying about the book:
"Easy to read, it is complete and, as usual, the author provides us with effective English expressions that are useful in everyday life."
-Julie
"The common sentence, related phrases and collocation sections are a huge added value for a non-native English speaker."
-Gian Carlo
"This is a new type of grammar book that is captivating reading for anyone who wants to learn to speak English: both the examples and the explanations provided are immediately applicable in daily life!"
-Céline
"It's amazing!"
-Gabriel
"As someone who has been learning through Alex's lessons for years, I am fortunate to have the opportunity to learn through his books as well. Alex is a great teacher, and it turns out he is also a great writer of professional books."
-Miroslav

-Hermano

-Giuliano
The goal of my teaching materials remains the same: To teach language that people will actually use. This is the mission statement of not only the Practical English series, but of myself as a teacher.
I take my job seriously because I know that if I were learning another language, I wouldn't want to ask questions such as "Is this still used?" or "Is this a natural sentence?" I would want common language that I could use with CONFIDENCE. This is why context-based learning is something I value very much, and something I push in my teaching.
For instance, in 300 Practical English Words and Phrases, I teach common conversation filler words such as "anyway," "so," and "well," but I teach them with multiple examples and explanations of when it's better to use one instead of the other. I also encourage learners to use them immediately and to place them in contexts that make sense for them. Some of us are students. Some of us are professionals. Some of us are retirees. We need to learn common language, but we also need to make sure the language we use makes sense for us and our lives.
That is what I hope to help you do with my work.
If you have read all this, I hope you will consider looking at the sample pages from 300 Practical English Words and Phrases, and that when you're ready, you'll make the jump and start studying language you will actually use.
I purchased the book "100 Practical English Phrasal Verbs." It is especially useful for all levels of English learners. The book is well organized and has many practical examples, especially the index; it is very convenient for learners; when I picked up some phrasal verbs from the wild, I used the book's index to find the meaning. I knew some phrasal verbs in the past, but I didn't use them properly, and now I am comfortable using them.
One interesting book led to another; I bought the second one, "200 Practical English Idioms." After that, I heard the third book, "300 Practical English Words and Phrases," would be released on August 15th, 2022, and I could not refrain from buying…
